Walmart Employee Goes Viral Teasing Black Friday $1 Shoes On TikTok – Footwear News

Jennifer Chrisman, a Walmart employee from Booneville, Ark., has drawn attention to a TikTok she posted on Nov. 9 that lists all the Black Friday deals shoppers should know about. And it went viral.

Chrisman took viewers on a tour of the store in a video that has since been viewed more than 2.3 million times. The store associate pointed out items that were on sale and enthusiastically compared Walmart’s original and discounted prices.

From $5 Reebok backpacks to $1 “snappy” platform slides in a variety of pastel shades, she teased some impressive deals. Chrisman carded through racks of discounted clothing and took videos of on-sale onesies, makeup palettes, puzzles, toy trucks, and animatronic Grogus from the “Star Wars” franchise.

“Look at all those yellow tickets,” she said, showing a top-down view of aisles of discounted merchandise marked with bright yellow tickets. Chrisman donned $1 yellow and orange camisoles along with lacy bralettes and matching underwear before exclaiming, “How can you beat these deals?”

Meanwhile, Black Friday is back and bigger than ever. Consumers are gearing up for a Black Friday shopping blitz, according to new data from Mastercard SpendingPulse. A report, which measures in-store and online retail sales across all forms of payment, said US retail sales on Black Friday are expected to grow 15% compared to last year.

“Expect Black Friday shopping to be in full force across all channels this year,” said Steve Sadove, senior advisor for Mastercard and former CEO and chairman of Saks Incorporated. “While retailers have already discounted heavily this season, consumers and retailers are likely waiting for special offers to roll in on the biggest promotional day of the year.”
