By Divya Bhati: WhatsApp recently launched a new poll creation feature for its Android and iOS users. Meta’s instant messaging app now allows users to create polls in groups and in personal chats. The WhatsApp poll feature is only available for the mobile version and is expected to be available soon for the WhatsApp for web version.

Let’s take a quick look at how to use the new Poll feature on WhatsApp for Android and iOS versions.

How to Create WhatsApp Poll on Android and iOS

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your Android or iOS smartphones

Step 2: Now open the individual chat or group in which you want to create the poll.

Step 3: Then tap the Attach button on the side of the message window and tap the Poll icon.

Step 4: In the Create Poll window, add your question and then options to choose from. You can add up to 12 options.

Step 5: You can also tap and drag the “Hamburger” icon to the right of the poll options to change the order.

Step 6: Once you’ve added questions and options, tap the green submit option.

Step 7: Your poll is being created.

WhatsApp allows users to add up to 12 options to the poll. This feature allows users to create a poll and vote on others’ polls by simply tapping on the available option as per your choice. You can choose from any of the options available in the picks, or you can even select several or all of the options available below the poll.

Each time a new vote is added, the poll is updated automatically. Users can also view the information related to the poll, such as who viewed the results of the poll, by tapping the ‘view votes’ option. Just go to the poll and tap “View Votes”. You’ll see poll details, including who voted and what option the others selected.
