As good as the latest releases of Windows are, the old ones have a charm that new versions just can’t quite match. A big part of that is the old games – Minesweeper, Solitaire, you name it. Now you can play them all over again, thanks to Microsoft Teams.
Microsoft Teams adds an all-new feature called Games for Work, which not only brings back the old Windows games you love, but also lets you connect with your co-workers thanks to multiplayer modalities. They let you play with just two people or as many as 250 people, meaning anyone from small teams to large corporations can drift off and have a fun, semi-nostalgic game night.
Among the games you can check out, you have Minesweeper, Solitaire, IceBreakers, and Wordament. Microsoft says each game emphasizes “a different element of team building”.
Since they’re multiplayer games, they may not work exactly like the old-fashioned Windows games you used to play when you had Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, but they’re fun options nonetheless. Game nights are common in many workplaces to bring colleagues closer together, and this solution from Microsoft simply builds them into a Microsoft Teams workplace.
If you don’t see the games, make sure you throw the suggestion into your workplace and hopefully you can pressure your IT admin to turn them on.
