Orbx has announced that their latest add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator is in development: Dublin City Landmarks. The package follows along the lines of previously released city orientation add-ons, such as those for London, Paris, and Frankfurt. This latest Orbx add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator will feature over 60 points of interest with Physically Based Rendering (PBR) textures and night lighting.
In addition, Orbx cleaned up the existing autogen buildings in Dublin and slightly altered their placement, size and shape where necessary to create a very realistic version of the city’s skyline. Orbx has also added Dublin’s iconic yellow double-decker buses, which will cross the main bridges of the River Liffey.
Orbx is also keen to point out that the add-on package has been stress-tested to make it as performance-optimized as possible, using modeling techniques that are efficient with often limited computing power.
No price point or release date for the add-on has yet been announced, but we can expect the pack to retail for around $20 AUD based on the pricing of Orbx’s previous city packs.
