Police in Atlantic City, New Jersey, say a videotaped attack by a pair of dogs on Tuesday afternoon injured seven people, including five children.
Two children were walking their dogs in a fenced-in area off 1300 Baltic Avenue, Atlantic City police said, when a third dog approached. Witnesses said the dogs then became aggressive and broke away from the children.
“Without warning, it appears the dogs then turned on the youths and began attacking them,” the Atlantic City Police Department said in a press release.
According to police, two adults were bitten when they came in to help. On mobile phones, the dogs can be seen dragging a person to the ground as people continue to scream for help.
All victims were treated in hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The children ranged in age from 10 to 17 years.
Animal control took the dogs away while the investigation was going on.
