Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch have been teammates for 15 long years and many would think they would consider themselves their favorite teammates, right? Well, Hamlin certainly doesn’t think so. The 23XI Racing co-owner recently revealed who he considered his all-time favorite teammate while speaking on Danica Patrick’s podcast.

Hamlin said, “I think about it often, and it’s probably Matt Kenseth, just because Matt was such a nice guy, such a fair teammate. Honestly, when I think about how fair my teammates are on the track, Kyle Busch is actually one of the fairest drivers on the track that I have raced for 15 years where we were teammates.”

“So he was always super respectful, we had our disagreements of course like most guys eventually. I’ve never had one with Matt, he only knows a nice guy. He’s someone, I don’t want to age map, but he’s someone I looked up to when I was moving up through the ranks. He was a quiet guy but he did the job and I really liked his riding style and who he was on and off the track.”

Deny mentioned that he didn’t actually resent anyone, but stated that he got along well with almost all of his teammates. However, he mentioned the toughest guy he had to deal with and chose Carl Edwards. Admittedly, Hamlin still hasn’t stated anything bad about Edwards, stating that he was a completely different person when compared to Hamlin himself.
